What are Zirconium Crowns?

Zirconium crowns are tooth-shaped restorations made from zirconium dioxide — one of the strongest and most biocompatible materials used in modern dentistry. Unlike traditional porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, zirconium is completely metal-free, which means no dark lines at the gum, no allergic reactions and a translucency that closely mimics natural tooth enamel.

At MyDentist Alanya, all zirconium crowns are milled and hand-characterised in our in-house dental laboratory, ensuring a precise fit and a lifelike aesthetic result every time.

What Does the Treatment Involve?

• The tooth is gently prepared and shaped under local anaesthesia
• Digital impressions are taken and sent to our laboratory
• Temporary crowns are placed to protect your teeth during fabrication
• Your permanent zirconium crowns are bonded at your second appointment

How Long Does It Take?

Crown treatment is completed within 5–7 days. Impressions and preparation are done on your first visit; permanent crowns are fitted 3–5 days later. The entire process can be comfortably completed during a single trip to Alanya.
