What is Root Canal Treatment?

Root canal treatment — also known as endodontic treatment — removes infected, inflamed or dead pulp tissue from inside the tooth. The root canals are then thoroughly cleaned, shaped and sealed to prevent future infection. A crown is usually placed over the treated tooth afterwards to restore its full function and appearance.

What Does the Treatment Involve?

How Long Does It Take?
